Writing a review on this book is difficult, because first up, I have to say I really like this series, and I've read most of them. I love the stories, the characters, and the plots, and I will continue to read this author. I'm just conflicted. My difficulty lies in the fact that I honestly believe the women in this whole series are pushovers. Particularly Cleo. Basic plot: Young couple, married for one week, husband in the military is deployed o/s for nine months, comes back and leaves her pretty much straight away. Seperated from her husband for eleven years (think about that length of time) after he walked out on her. With no communication between them during the intervening years whatsoever, he comes back out of the blue to protect her from a threat made against the club, and bam, back in bed.

That was when I was disappointed with this story, and I actually contemplated not reading further. Sadly, that's how it works throughout this book. Gotta problem? Sex will fix it. I would think, after having to go it alone for so long, make a life for herself, having to rely on herself for everything, the struggles she had affording just the basics, she would be stronger and more independently minded. Where is the bitterness, the anger? To me it just gets swept away. She forgives him to easily and much to quickly to be believable. To me, it's like she is intimate with a stranger, within a day or so of his return to her life. At one point during the story, even the H remarks on the speed of her forgiveness. So. With that being said, the book is quite engaging, never cheesy or boring and well worth reading. There are many five star ratings for this book, and I can understand that, because the writing is great, and the plot scenarios riveting. I just have a real problem with h that are doormats and thus a solid three star review.

Rough Ready Notorious Devils Book 5 edition by Hayley Faiman Pink Ink Designs Romance eBooks Reviews

As always, every book hooks me and keeps me. I'm in love with the Devils and I'm getting close to the end...NO!!! Lol. I can't wait to check out Hayley's other series...so that's a plus. One of the best MC series I've read!
This was an awesome addition to the series! From prologue to epilogue, there was so much emotion! But this story was wonderful and I really loved seeing Torch and Cleo grow into terrific people. Surprises galore and yet more mystery keeping you wanting more!
It was a great read. It had great characters and a interesting story line. I can't wait for more books in this series. You can't help nut fall for Torch in the end and I love the strong female characters.
I'm enjoying this series. The only constructive criticism I have for the author is lose the apostrophes, such as in the sentence, 'The Russian's left for LA.' Very distracting. Having said that, the storylines are good and the reasons for why the characters act the way they do are realistic. Good job.
Cleo and Torch's story was a fantastic read. I could put this down and have loved everyone of the books in this series so far. This one didn't disappoint. These hot biker MC and women feel like every story I get to a bit more about them and get to meet new characters. Can't wait to read book 6. Highly recommend as a must read author and series.
While I have absolutely loved this series of books, this book was not one that I loved. It was good and I did enjoy it, just not as much as the previous books. Mainly due to the circumstances surrounding the main characters. I was just not crazy about it. I just find it hard to believe that she would be that willing to hook back up with him. Just my opinion. That's why I don't like those kinds of plots.
Who runs away from their wife and then years later comes back to make sure their safe? Only one word will do Paxton.

Due to the club business with unsavory other groups. Paxton wants to make sure Cleo is safe. Cleo doesn't understand what danger is in until her two best friends learn all the details. Once they learn all the details; she is then move to another town to live with them and have them protect her.

Paxton believes something happened to Cleo until the club president finds her at the new job. He tries to make up for the many years he spent away from her, but people and events keep getting in the way.

Finally, when she truly sees who he is. She then gets snatched but finds out secrets and other old ladies that the club didn't know about. When the club finds her and the other old ladies, they also find the backstabber of the club. With him dead, Cleo tells them the reason he did what he did and some new leadership is shown.

But the question remains what happen to all the old ladies that got pregnant?

This also has a short story at the end about one of the old lady that was captured for awhile and how her man wins her back.
